Make education on consent and sexual offenses mandatory in schools.
As part of an effort to reduce instances of sexual violence and harassment, we propose that education about consent and sexual crimes should be mandatory within sex education classes at school. It is important that children learn about having respect for theirs and others boundaries from a young age
According to Gov.UK, "In the UK, [...]1 in 5 [women will experience] sexual assault during her lifetime." And "The Crime Survey of England and Wales estimates 20% of women and 4% of men have experienced some type of sexual assault since the age of 16, equivalent to an estimated 3.4 million female victims and 631,000 male victims. 5 in 6 victims (83%) did not report their experiences to the police." Change starts in the classroom, where we learn our most basic and fundamental principles.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government's new Relationships and Sex Education curriculum, which is mandatory in all state schools from this year, requires that students are now taught about key aspects of the law relating to sex, which include the age of consent, what consent is and is not, the definitions and recognition of rape, sexual assault and harassment, and that sexual violence and sexual harassment are not acceptable: www.gov.uk/government/publications/relationships-education-relationships-and-sex-education-rse-and-health-education/relationships-and-sex-education-rse-secondary
