Stop development on green belt land while brownfield sites remain undeveloped.
Introduce measures to stop development on green belt land and to prevent de-designation of green belt land while undeveloped brownfield sites remain. Introduce measures to encourage development of brownfield sites and vacant property in town centres for residential uses.
Our green belts provide vital habitats for flora & fauna. They are also a vital resource for human mental and physical wellbeing and this has been amply demonstrated during the present pandemic.
It is an obscenity to trash our greenbelt land whilst there is more than sufficient undeveloped brownfield land and vacant buildings that can be used to satisfy housing need.
High Streets are in dire need of rejuvenation this can be achieved by encouraging conversion of vacant High St space into homes
