Do not implement an ID requirement for social media.
Do not implement the requirement of personal ID in order to create an account online put forward by celebrity figure Katie Price and MP Andrew Griffith. If passed, this 'Track a Troll' system will severely invade the privacy of the people of Britain.
The proposal would require social media companies to collect the names and addresses of anyone who creates an account, allowing the state and corporations to have greater control over British citizens. It also poses a threat to adults and minors in abusive living situations. Who often rely on online services as a connective outlet to escape. Their abusers would have total control over it.
'Track a Troll' would endanger far more people than it could ever protect. It can't pass, for our safety.
