Make it law that shops must turn lights off when closed
Create a law to make it illegal for shops to light their windows during closed hours. To work alongside legislation to help stop climate change.
Energy being used to light shop windows when stores are closed is a massive waste. This is adding greatly to climate change. The money saved by companies should be being used to protect jobs and source more sustainable products and production technologies. There is no evidence that stores are at more risk of burglaries due to no store lighting.
