We want mental health awareness to become part of the school national curriculum
We want the government to take on board the importance of raising mental health issues amongst young people aged 5years-18years old. And to become embedded in young peoples life's and provide a range of resources and support to enable young people to build coping strategies and resilience.
Because we would like the government to recognise that this a valid issue young people especially during the pandemic. 1 in 6 young people aged 5-16 are suffering with mental health problems. And 75% of young people with mental health problems are not getting the support they need. (stats: childrenssociety.org 19th January 2021)
We feel that these statistics are unacceptable and we would like support in educating young people as we believe this will only get worse.
