Double charge for parking...
Most local authority car parks have an hourly charge at a proportion of £1 - for example, £1-20 per hour. If you don't have £1-20, you probably pay £1-50 or £2 for your hour. The machines do not then give change. They should give the time that is paid for, up to the allowed maximum. Please sign to encourage fair and honest metering (some hope; who do they think they work for? Themselves?)
