Devote £200bn of the ARIA budget to the Built Environment Sector.
The ARIA was launched February 23 2021 I would like Sunak and Kwarteng to 1) ear mark £200bn toward R&D to catalyse the construction of materials that will be used for future homes and 2) create a Built Environment branch in the " What Works Network" to link the innovations from ARIA in to practice.
29million homes still need to be retrofitted and the built environment sector (Transport, Planning, Housing, Health, Land Use) are all siloed in their approach in building/ retrofitting our homes/ communities to be fit for the future. The sector has never had a ministry to combine all of the thought leadership occurring across the UK preventing us from reaching our carbon zero target in 2050. This could create a sustainable pipeline of sustainable jobs, economies and places fit for the future.

When it is established, ARIA will have operational independence from government. Decisions on ARIA's programme portfolio will be set by ARIA, not ministers.
