Ban all MPs from standing at next election, to see if we can get some that aren't going to treat the public purse as their private piggy bank.
Given the autumn statement that says we need another parliament’s worth of austerity, it seems unfair that MP’s should continue to feather their nests and give themselves any pay raise that they deny to others.
So, let’s change the law to ban all sitting MP’s from standing for election again and see if we can get some that care more for the country and constituencies that they are supposed to represent than they do about lining their own pockets. Get some new blood in that can sort out the expenses, the wages, the golden goodbyes, the pensions.
