Legalize powered vehicles (electric scooters/bicycles)
Update the law to include and allow access to powered vehicles (electric scooters, bicycles).
Mandatory use of helmet and high visibility vest, legal max speed and insurance requirement, would provide a safe environment for citizens to commute with minimum impact on the environment and distancing.
Compared to a bicycle an electric scooter is: easier to maneuver, easier to get out, the riders center of gravity is safer, has front and back light, has a more predictable and very reasonable top speed. Still most cyclists are able to overtake a scooter. doesn't allow for tricks like wheelies, people store them inside (less bikes stolen).
Legalizing powered vehicles would help reduce the emission levels, traffic jams and would be another step into the future of transportation for the UK.
