Discrimination in the OPA is cleared up
The Obscene Publications Act as passed by parliament didn't have a clear idea of what it wanted to do except to try and freeze societies moral progress.
The exact details of what was classed as "obscene" was put down to the CPS. Half of that advice includes things like, "Bondage, esp. where gags are used" and is wholly inconsistent.
eg. "Pulp Fiction" where bondage with high standard ball gags being used.
There are many examples in our society where things set down in the CPS guidelines are now considered acceptable practice.
With exception of child issues and bestiality (which are adequately covered in other laws anyway) it is about time that the OPA was revisited and possibly struck from our books.
