Distribute liberally the rights and know-how of a successful Covid vaccine
Possibly in partnership with other rich countries, buy up the rights and know-how of the manufacture of a Covid vaccine. Then give these away for free, or to recoup costs licence out but liberally, to burst logjam so global production of vaccine can be ramped up to the maximum possible extent.
Why?
Vast pools of unvaccinated populations in poor countries (until 2024 currently?) affording the virus plentiful opportunity to mutate and evolve is a threat to the UK.
No normality in the UK until global vaccination anyway? - https://tinyurl.com/m3jkfc7t
The economic self-interest of rich countries is to end the pandemic asap - https://tinyurl.com/4u49mh64
Potentially save hundreds of thousands of lives globally.
