Regulate businesses who increase their prices in line with major events
When there are major events, such as festivals, concerts or sporting events, hotels and transport companies increase their prices to ludicrous amounts, sometimes by 200%. We are asking the government to regulate the way in which these companies price their services, to make it fair for the consumer.
This would give everybody from all backgrounds an equal opportunity to attend and enjoy major events, rather than just those who can afford to pay the inflated prices.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government isn't responsible for how prices for goods and services are changed to respond to demand. This is a matter for individual businesses.
