Increase Funding for Borderline Personality Disorder Treatment on the NHS

Petition Details

BPD is a debilitating condition that is often misunderstood and stigmatised. Lack of funding has led to a vast difference in treatment - in some areas of the UK patients receive ongoing psychiatric care lasting anywhere between 1-3 years, and in others are offered just 12 weeks of psychotherapy.

Additional Information

Borderline Personality Disorder is a serious, debilitating medical condition with serious life-affecting symptoms. Patients need ongoing support to help them manage symptoms, and access to medication and therapy on an ongoing basis.

It is essential that more funding is allocated to services across the UK treating people with BPD, so that care can be standardised so patients receive adequate care regardless of where they live.
