Petition Details

We want the Government to enforce stricter laws against over the counter skin whitening products to ensure that they can only be available via a prescription.

Additional Information

Some over the counter skin whitening products contain ingredients including mercury, hydroquinone and corticosteroids which can be dangerous. There have been reports of related kidney damage and rashes, discolouration, scarring, anxiety, depression, psychosis and peripheral neuropathy.
