Petition Action

add recycling to UK schools to reduce pollution rates

Petition Details

make recycling in schools mandatory to lower the pollution rates and to reduce waste of reusable materials. millions of students go to school everyday and waste thousands of recyclable opportunities.

Additional Information

As a student of a secondary school, I see tons of plastic thrown out and thousand of pieces of paper wasted per year. The average student at a secondary school produces 22kg of waste per pupil each academic year and the figure for primary schools is even higher at 45kg per pupil.
