Nominate Oxford University /Astra Zeneca for a Nobel Prize for COVID 19 work
HM Government to nominate Oxford University /Astra Zeneca for a Nobel Prize recognising their outstanding contribution to combating COVID 19 globally
This contribution includes not just the development of the vaccine but the outstanding humanitarian gesture of making it available at cost price.
The Covid 19 pandemic has killed & hundreds of thousands across the globe & infected many more. Its full economic, social & political impact remains unknown but is likely to be dramatic & long lasting.
The Oxford/Astra Zeneca team developed a safe & effective vaccine currently saving life & reducing spread.
Making the vaccine available at cost price for the duration of the pandemic is stunningly selfless humanitarian gesture which will impact the ability to reduce the global impact of the virus
