Petition Action

Change the laws regarding prescription cannabis.

Petition Details

Over 60% of people in the United Kingdom is smoking Cannabis.

There is a medicine called Marinol which does the same exact thing as smoking cannabis.

By making this medicine legal in the NHS people including myself could take it instead of actually smoking cannabis.

Additional Information

If this medicine was available on prescription people would take it instead of smoking cannabis.

That alone drops lung cancer cases.

It also means crime rate drops because people would not have to commit vicious crimes and brutal burglaries to afford their cannabis to smoke.

It's a non harmful drug that contains small traces of marijuana. It does the same thing as smoking it but much safer.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The licensing of medicines in the UK is a matter for the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), not the UK Government or Parliament.
