Legalise private e-scooter as a means of transport.
Treat e-scooters like bicycles or let the private citizen ride their own e-scooter as long as they follow the same laws and regulations as the company that currently rents them out.
A private company currently has a total monopoly on e-scooter transport.
The public has clearly proven to be responsible enough to ride e-scooters on public roads as this trial has so far been a success. Private citizen can ride a bicycle which can do 20 mph down hill yet they are not trusted riding their own e-scooter.
It is time to make this law work
