Host higher education within industry.
I would like higher education to be done within industry. For example, doctors will learn in the NHS, lawyers within a law firm and engineers within a company. If students are successful, they will receive a job at the end of it and they won't have to pay for the studies.
I would like the Government to educate students within industry in order to learn skills that equate to a specific job, maximise potential for innovation and give students a tangible goal to aim at.

Businesses are free to do on-the-job training, and it's possible for employers to host apprenticeships. Many degree level roles already require this type of learning, but formal recognition of qualifications or training are a matter for the relevant governing bodies and not the UK Government or Parliament.
