Dogs on leads in public places to prevent harm to all and minimise pet theft.

Petition Details

All general public areas to be placed under the ‘Public Spaces Protection Order’.

Designated, safe, secured and possibly monitored ‘off lead’ dog parks.

Penalties for those who are found to let their dogs off lead in all other general public areas.

Additional Information

Dog attacks can cause both physical and emotional harm to all those affected. Many reported cases of attacks in public places, can predominantly be prevented by dogs being kept on leads.

Dog theft is on the rise. One preventative measure is for all dog owners to keep their dogs on leads in public places.
