Socio-economic development of the Tees Valley
Action 1 work with the unemployed in the region and give them skills that will be required in the regional economy, sometimes called the technology and or knowledge economy
Action 2 Owing to deprivation the area is entitled to state aid under European rules, be more innovative on how state aid is used in preparing for the new economy. The level of state aid is at an all time low.
Action 3 Bring on major projects for example a New Nuclear Power station at Hartlepool, Wilton centre as a strategic building
Action 4 For decades many big names came to the region, that has slowed down over the past five years raise our game to provide employment
Action 5 it is good news that the UK unemployment figures have fallen so much - unfortunately this has not been felt in the Tees Valley and action is also needed to address that
