Protect more UK waters from fishing
Regulations to ban fishing from at least 80% of UK waters. This’ll allow for mass repopulation, which is beneficial not just for sea life, but for us too.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you're concerned about over-fishing, however it's not clear whether you want this to apply to rivers and other waterways, or British waters to include the seas around the UK. It's also not clear which species you wish to be repopulated.
You could start a petition calling for a ban on fishing on 80% of UK rivers and other waterways, specifying which species you wish to be preserved, if that is something you'd like to see happen. If you choose to do so, please be sure to include your full name as we can't allow petitions to be started with just a first name.
