Provide disposal bins at registered locations for used Home test kits.
At registered locations I.e doctors surgeries, pharmacies, community's centers and schools, to have safe disposal of home testing kits without it going into landfill, oceans and harming our environment.
We have such a mammoth issue with plastic waste as it is, with the home testing it's on the rise, and going into household waste, it will be going into landfill, it will end up on our beaches causing harm to the sea life. I strongly feel we need a disposal system in place to dispose of household test kits.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about disposal of used Covid-19 tests, but its not clear how you want the Government to arrange for these tests to be disposed of.
We could accept a petition calling for the Government to ensure provision is made for people to be able to safely dispose of used Covid-19 tests at registered locations, but you'd need to be clear how you wanted the Government to dispose of these without them going into landfill, oceans and harming our environment.
