Allow visitors to visit the hospital. At least one.
Being in hospital myself at 19 with a multiple sclerosis relapse, it is lonely and scary being by yourself in a hospital for a long time. Seeing people, especially the elderly sitting alone, having nothing to do all day long it is heartbreaking.
Currently I have been in hospital 12 days, I can not walk and I am in a room alone, expecting to be here at least another week, the only people I see is the nurses every so often when medication is needed. It is bad for mental health, I sit alone not talking to anyone all day long. I have seen elderly patients alone, not being able to use technology and having nothing to do except sit there in silence and stare into the abyss.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Visitng policies for individual hospitals are a matter for NHS England and individual NHS trusts, not the Government or House of Commons. You should contact your local hospital to find out what their visiting policy is.
