Petition to put a stop to backyard animal breeding without a licence.

Petition Details

Increase sentence to 8 years for illegal breeding without a license
Ensure spot checking of all breeders premises
Local councils to take animal breeding complaints more seriously and carry out spot checks
License all pets (like a car log book)
Please sign, help put a stop to this cruel scandal

The UK pet population in 2018* is estimated at 9 million dogs and 8 million cats
*Latest available estimated figures from the Pet Food Manufacturers' Association (PFMA).

We need to put a stop to unlicensed breeders, selling animals for financial gain when we have so many in shelters that need saving.
Unlicensed breeders care too much about extra money, they will put animals at risk for it - this is not fair and needs to end now! we are in 2021 and this is still a major issue worldwide.
