This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about wrongful convictions for certain crimes, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

The courts and individual juries are responsible for the verdicts in criminal cases, not the Government or House of Commons. Individuals who have been convicted of a crime are able to appeal against the verdict or sentence.

You could start a new petition explaining more clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
