Make it law that all dog breeders have to be registered
Every breeder should have to register with their local council by law. Currently this is not a law. However if this was to be implemented buyer's could check breeders were background checked and not running puppy farms.
With the rise of dogs being stolen we have to look at why this is happening . Anyone who is breeding dogs or selling a dog should require thorough background checks. Prices should also be capped so no one can breed purely for profit.The registration of breeders should also show how many litters the bitch has had for the welfare of the dog.
