Add India to UK travel red list
India is not currently on the UK’s “red list” for travel which requires visitors returning to UK to quarantine in a hotel for 10 days.
The Government should immediately add India to red list to protect our people from new Covid Indian Variant B.1.617 which spreads rapidly.
UK finds more cases of variant linked to severe second wave in India.
Discovery of 77 infections with new strain prompts calls to add India to UK travel red list before it’s too late.
The government said that it was keeping the list “under constant review” and “won’t hesitate to introduce tougher restrictions and add countries if we think it is necessary”.
As India is suffering from a devastating second wave of Covid-19 so should be added to UK travel red list without any further delay
