Petition Details

The Myanmar coup has seen an unelected Junta take control of Myanmar. Representatives of the democratically elected government have been forced to flee and have announced the formation of a National Unity Government

Additional Information

I would request that the UK Government formally recognises that the Myanmar National Unity Government is a democratic organisation that represents the people of Myanmar. The Government should engage with its representatives and find ways to support the return of democracy to Myanmar. The UK Government should also denounce and refuse to meet with representatives of the Junta.
