Increase the State pension for all retired Armed Forces Veterans
We the petitioners want the Government to provide adequate “Cradle to Grave” care in the form of an increased State Pension for all retried Armed Forces Veterans, to ensure that they receive a State pension that covers all living costs on reaching retirement age.
The basic state pension is only around £7,000 a year. We the petitioners demand this is increased substantially for all Armed Forces Veterans, so that it covers all living costs, such as council tax, rent and utilities.
Each year there is a surplus in the National Insurance fund of billions of pounds, and in 2020 the fund was in surplus by over £35 billion.
This is more than enough to increase State pensions substantially for all our Armed Forces Veterans.
We owe them, "BIG TIME"
