Introduce a Super Tax for every club in the UK joining the European Super League
The big six English clubs have all signed up to join this new league to benefit a privelaged few. Football was a working class game made by the fans, it's impossible for the game to continue when people are using it to benefit themselves whilst hurting the fans. What I'm proposing is a 90% super tax
We must take bigger steps such as this if the big six English clubs don't drop out immediately.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you want the English clubs who originally joined the proposed European Super League (ESL) to be taxed, however it's not clear which aspect of their revenues you want this tax to apply to, nor what the tax would be used for.
In any event, since you started your petition the Government has made its opposition to the ESL clear, and the six participating English clubs have withdrawn.
On Monday 19 April the Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden MP said that he was appalled by the announcement that a handful of clubs are proposing to form their own breakaway European league, and said the Government would not hesitate to protect one of our greatest national institutions: football. The Culture Secretary said that the Government would back the football authorities to stop this move, and if the football authorities couldn’t act, the Government would. The Culture Secretary said the Government would "put everything on the table to prevent this from happening."

Further, on 19 April the Government announced a 'Fan-led review of football governance', which will explore ways of improving the governance, ownership and financial sustainability of clubs in English football, building on the strengths of the football pyramid.
