stricter laws -Umbrella companies unlawfully forcing workers to pay employers NI

Petition Details

Since the roll out of IR35 April 2021, many contractors working for the public sector have been blanket deemed inside IR35 by agencies or employers. As a result of this , many individuals have been given little to no option other than to move onto an umbrella scheme based payroll system.

Additional Information

Umbrella companies are profiting from this circumstance by enforcing employee’s to unlawfully pay employers NI . As well as this, several umbrella companies have tampered with pay slips, placing employees on minimum wage whilst paying the rest of the wages on a “assignment commission “ basis .
Individuals are seeing an upto 40-50% total tax deduction taken from earnings , with no PAYEE benefits and no where to turn .
