Give UK nationals vaccine at arrival airport not bill for hotel quarantine

Petition Details

There are thousands of British nationals who have travelled to "red list " countries for vital reasons
Each will have PCR tests before coming back to the UK. So anyone with a negative test " should be allowed back to the Uk without having to self isolate in a hotel for 10 days .

Additional Information

To offer covid jabs at arrival airports and to get rid of the hotel quarantine part of this ongoing saga to enable those stranded to come home safe and sound.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about existing travel restrictions, but it's not clear how offering people returning to the UK a Covid-19 vaccine could replace existing testing and self-isolation arrangements. Requirements for testing and self-isolation are intended to prevent onward transmission of Covid-19. Vaccination for Covid-19 takes time to be effective, and it is also not yet clear how vaccination effects onward transmission.
