Require British Football Clubs to be 50% + 1 Share fan owned
In order to protect British football clubs from the destructive effects of short-termist, profit focused owners, fan associations/organisations should own 50% + 1 share of any football club playing professional football.
The Recent proposals to establish a European Football league, risk undermining the National footballing pyramid, and have been decried by fans and players.
An overview of the Bundesliga rules on this, in practice in the highly successful German football league.
'In order to obtain a license to compete in the Bundesliga, a club must hold a majority of its own voting rights. The rule is designed to ensure that the club's members retain overall control, by way of owning 50% of shares, +1 share.'
