Prevent English football clubs joining the European Super League
Give the fans the chance to have a say in our football clubs decisions
It is of utmost importance to protect the integrity of this countries great footballing community and not let it be sold off for commercialisation purposes. Football is one of the great things in life that brings the world together every so often, crucial at this moment in time, and this is being ripped apart whilst the fans can only sit and watch.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
On Monday 19 April the Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden MP said that he was appalled by the announcement that a handful of clubs are proposing to form their own breakaway European league, ands said the Government would not hesitate to protect one of our greatest national institutions: football. The Culture Secretary said that the Government would back the football authorities to stop this move, and if the football authorities couldn’t act, the Government would. The Culture Secretary said the Government would "put everything on the table to prevent this from happening."
