Stop OUR Premier League's 'top six' from joining the European Super League.
Stop the so-called 'top six' from ruining the football pyramid in England forever by abandoning all history, tradition and purity in the game to join the 'Super League'.
The clubs are 'owned' by their foreign billionaire owners, but you must find a way to prevent it. It won't be forgotten.
Football is central to English culture and runs deep in communities across the country. In many places, the local team is paramount to maintaining community cohesion and a sense of identity. Income for local teams provides facilities, jobs and hope for so many.
The European Super League, which will operate as a closed shop cartel - guaranteeing that the 'big' clubs involved maintain and grow their dominance, will take money and attention out of the domestic game and lead to its demise.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
On Monday 19 April the Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden MP said that he was appalled by the announcement that a handful of clubs are proposing to form their own breakaway European league, ands said the Government would not hesitate to protect one of our greatest national institutions: football. The Culture Secretary said that the Government would back the football authorities to stop this move, and if the football authorities couldn’t act, the Government would. The Culture Secretary said the Government would "put everything on the table to prevent this from happening."

Since you started your petition it has also been announced that all six Premier League teams that were initially involved in the European Super League have withdrawn. You can read a report of this news here: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56823501
Further, on 19 April the Government announced a 'Fan-led review of football governance', which will explore ways of improving the governance, ownership and financial sustainability of clubs in English football, building on the strengths of the football pyramid.
