Petition Action

Remove the self isolation clause in Visit Out of Care Home Guidance.

Petition Details

Urgently review the Visit Out guidance for Care Homes to enable residents to visit family and friends without the need to self isolate for 14 days afterwards. Use PCR / LFT testing as with staff instead.

Additional Information

My brother has cerebral palsy, is wheelchair bound and communicates through a device. He has had both vaccines and desperately wants to come home for a visit. He is crying repeatedly because the requirement to self isolate has made any visits out untenable due the impact it would have on his mental health. This is against his human rights, is unlawful and discriminatory.
