Fund measures to improve street safety

Petition Details

The public needs to be better protected from street crimes, including sexual assault, violence, and other unlawful crimes.

Additional Information

The Government needs to fund crime prevention schemes, like more street lights or CCTV in remote locations, and increased policing around bus stops/stations.

I was recently a victim of sexual harassment in the Putney area.

An unidentifiable man in his 40s indecently exposed himself to me then proceeded to run away when I alerted a pedestrian. As a young female I felt violated on a large scale and shameful even.

My only lifeline was in the hands of the pedestrian.

We need greater street safety to get predators off the streets and keep our children safe. And as young people, we need to align to get our voices heard and heard now.
