Amend the BBC's Royal Charter to Cap the Grotesque Salaries Paid at the BBC

Petition Details

We petition for parliament to amend the BBC’s Royal Charter to cap all BBC salaries and contractor pay at the level of the Prime Minister and fix all BBC annual pay rises at inflation.

Additional Information

The British people find the proposed 1% pay raise for the English NHS unfair when one single, publicly funded BBC presenter is paid a salary of £1,752,500 (10 times that of the Prime Minister).

The BBC’s highest paid presenter is paid the same as 52 nurses; another circa 60 BBC presenters earn more than the PM.
