Cut costs for the right to place a headstone on graves.

Petition Details

I want the government to cut costs for the right to place a headstone on graves, this should be free. People have already paid for the rights to the grave. The charge for the rights to place a headstone by the government can be up to £3000. This is extortionate for a letter signing.

Additional Information

In the UK there is a cost for the right to "Place a headstone on a grave". Buying a headstone is expensive and this added charge adds stress, upset and devastation to the deceases family. Especially when a person has been paying tax all their life. People should have the right to be laid to rest according to their wishes and beliefs. By the government placing is extortionate costs shows no respect for the deceases and is a way for them to try and profit.
