Petition Action

Condemn the violence used by the Colombian government against protestors.

Petition Details

As a Colombian citizen settled in the UK, I am appalled by the actions of my home country and the effects on my family and friends. Work with the UN to protect Colombians and their right to peaceful protest. To show disapproval of the violence used by the government against their people.

Additional Information

To form a united international front against the use of force by the Colombian government and show the rule of law and a democratic right to peaceful protest is a requirement of the UK's trading partners.
The situation is getting worse, with an internal media blackout in effect. However, the pictures and reports show increasing use of force against innocent people in Colombia.
