Allow a second referendum on Scottish Independence with specific qualifications
For the past 5 years the Scottish Government have failed to act on Scotland’s behalf in devolved areas including education, health, policing and the economy (to name a few), and have neglected a mental health and drugs crisis, in favour of independence, causing national embarrassment for Scotland.
Now is the time to allow a second vote of Scottish independence - the case for the union has never been stronger, the polls are at their lowest, and calling the pro-independence side’s bluff will allow us to progress with the real issues. We cannot repeat another 5 years of national embarrassment. The following caveats should be included:
Minimum age of 18
No EU/ foreign nationals
Scot’s living in England should get a vote
50% of total electorate required to win
No vote on the same issue until at least 2050
