leave our green spaces alone/ stop development on every green space in towns
stop pressuring council’s to build more homes and develop on the little green spaces we have left when they are clearly not needed, once there are enough homes and recourses in a town then to enforce plans for green spaces to be left alone. Some towns have built so many houses with little resources
The current covid-19 pandemic has highlighted how important green spaces are for mental health. Government is putting pressure on council’s to build build build without little thought to the people who live in those towns needing green space for walking in, exercise, family and recreation time and mental wellbeing. not mention the animals & nature that are being pushed out of their natural habitat. enforce councils to leave a significant amount of green space for residents to enjoy in hard times

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you are concerned about building on greenfield land. However, we're not sure what you are referring to when you refer to the Government 'pressurising councils'. If there was a specific change to planning law that you wanted the Government to make in order to protect greenfield land, then you could start a petition about that.
In the meantime, you might like to sign this petition which calls for a related action: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/575169
