Stop the Government introducing Mandatory Voter ID
Stop the Government introducing Mandatory Voter ID checks in General Elections
During a pilot scheme in the 2019 elections, the effect of voter ID was shown to differ by demographic group, with younger and minority ethnic groups to be worst affected by the changes, exacerbating variation in turnout by demographic which will lead to insufficient democratic representation.
Whilst there a handful of examples of voter fraud, they are insignificant in comparison the 48 million strong electorate. The solution is increasing turnout not introducing dangerous, illiberal laws.
