Petition Action

Make land,Internet, mobile lines essential & ban providers from restricting them

Petition Details

Add legislation that stops companies that provide communications lines to people such as BT, Three, O2, Virgin etc. From being able to restrict or disconnect the line/service if the account holder falls behind in payments for a genuine reason or crisis situation.

Additional Information

in these times as we have seen with the lockdowns & hardships, active communication lines are not a luxury they are an essential service & the restriction/suspension of them pose a real life threatening risk to people & organisations, for example even the government departments for jobs and benefits are utilising mobile communications (mobile numbers & internet/email) to keep in touch with claimants, if those services are restricted people can be hurt or worse because they cannot communicate
