Petition Action

Revise the Equalities Act 2010

Petition Details

Amend the Equalities Act 2010 to make schools, train stations and other public buildings to be completely accessible for disabled people. Remove the loopholes. Make the police actually act on it.

Additional Information

I am sick and tired of the lack of access and the lack of police help to stop blatant discrimination against disabled people. The law needs to change to properly protect disabled people

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We understand that you would like the loop holes of the Equality Act 2010 to be removed and to make reporting and compliance action from police easier and more effective, but it is unclear what specific loopholes you are referring to and how exactly the Government could help make reporting and compliance easier.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
