Change the ineffective way that early years education and childcare is funded
Quality childcare is vital to the UK’s economic recovery & for parents to return to normal life. It makes a huge difference to the lives of children, many of whom are now falling behind & provides a source of emotional & practical support to families.
We need a long term strategy that:
Fully integrates the work of childcare professionals into the wider children’s services network, for example Family Hubs.
Reviews the way childcare and early years is funded.
Establishes a fair and equitable pay settlement for the workforce that always goes the extra mile for their children and families.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We understand you'd like either a review or changes to how childcare and early years education is funded, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government to do differently.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, such as calling for increased Government funding.
