Ban the export of waste plastic and require that all is recycled in the UK.
Introduce legislation requiring all plastic collected or separated for recycling to be recycled in the United Kingdom and prohibit the export of plastic waste
Currently about 66% of the plastic for recycling is being exported and in most cases either dumped to a form of landfill or burnt in an uncontrolled manner causing toxic emissions.
