Petition Action

Support the choir community and hold an urgent review on the unjust restrictions

Petition Details

Got 2 Sing Choir and the UK choir community request an urgent review by Oliver Dowden and DCMS of the Performing Arts guidance, in order to allow organised, risk assessed, Covid secure indoor rehearsals of amateur singers with social distancing and further mitigation’s in place.

Additional Information

This is our jobs, our lives, our income, our community, our family, our mental health, our physical health, our emotional health.
Our choir community, back in October 2020, proved that we are able to return safely to indoor rehearsals. Choirs and vocal groups were given the go ahead but 36 hours AFTER the May 17th roadmap step, the guidelines were changed to limit indoor singing to a group of 6. Please urgently review the restrictions to get our choir community singing safely indoors again.
