Ensure Mr Bean represents the UK at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest
In light of the UK's performance at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest when we got zero points, ensure Mr Bean represents the UK in 2022: his international standard will ensure a better result.
This is now an issue of National pride, and we need to ensure the most respected Britain competes in the contest to restore national honour. It needs Government leadership to make this happen, after poor handling of UK representation for decades.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about the UK's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest are a matter for the BBC, not the Government or House of Commons.
The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the Government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
This means the Government is not responsible for decisions relating to the Eurovision Song Contest.
